This policy explains what Saath (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the Saath mobile application and website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the control you have over it. Saath is operated by Saath Services.
Saath is a matrimonial service intended only for people aged 18 or over who are legally permitted to marry. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
| Category | What it includes | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Email address (from Google Sign-In) and mobile number, which we verify by SMS one-time password | To create and secure your account, and to confirm you are a real person |
| Profile | Name, date of birth, gender, height, religion, community, education, profession, income range, marital status, lifestyle details, interests and your written introduction | This is the profile other members see, and what matching is based on |
| Photos | Profile and gallery photographs you upload | To show your profile. Photos are checked automatically for a detectable human face to reduce fake and misleading profiles |
| Location | Your device location, if you grant permission | To show matches near you and approximate distance. Your exact location is never shown to other members |
| Messages | Messages you exchange with other members | To deliver conversations, and to investigate reports of abuse |
| Subscription | Your plan, its status, and the purchase identifier issued by Google Play | To give you the features you paid for and to verify purchases |
| Technical | IP address, device type, app version, push notification token, and server logs | To operate the service, send notifications, and detect abuse |
We never see your payment details. All purchases are processed by Google Play. We receive only a confirmation that a purchase happened — never your card, bank or UPI information.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Your profile details and photos are visible to other Saath members, subject to your privacy settings. Your email address, mobile number and exact location are not shown on your profile. Contact details are only revealed where a plan explicitly permits it and the relevant setting allows it.
We use a small number of trusted providers, who process data only on our instructions:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google (Firebase, Google Sign-In, Google Play) | Sign-in, mobile number verification, push notifications, purchase processing and verification |
| Amazon Web Services | Hosting, and storage of uploaded photos. Photos are also scanned automatically to confirm they contain a human face |
We may also disclose information where required by law, or where necessary to protect the rights and safety of our members.
Our servers and photo storage are located in India (Mumbai region). Some providers listed above may process data outside India; where that happens we rely on their contractual safeguards.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account we remove your profile, photos and messages within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons.
To delete your Saath account and the personal data associated with it, email cc@saathservices.com from the email address registered on your account, with the subject “Account deletion request”. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.
Deleting your account removes your profile, photographs, messages and match history. Records of completed transactions may be retained where the law requires it.
